(Nashville, Tennessee – October 16, 2025) – Critically acclaimed bilingual singer-songwriter Ana Cristina Cash is set to release a new song, “La Llorona (Spanglish Version)” featuring Grammy Award-winning guitarist and songwriter Chris Pérez, on October 24, 2025. The new track follows her recent single, “Florida Girl,” and continues to showcase her signature fusion of Latin soul and Southern storytelling.
A reimagining of the classic gothic Mexican folk song, “La Llorona (Spanglish Version)” blends traditional influences with a modern edge, featuring haunting vocals and songwriting from Ana Cristina with the inclusion of a brand new English verse that she penned for this version of the Spanish-language song, and a fiery, emotive guitar performance by Chris Pérez. Known for his groundbreaking work as the lead guitarist of Selena y Los Dinos and as the husband of the late Tejano icon Selena Quintanilla, he later formed the Chris Pérez Band, earning a Grammy Award in 2000 for Resurrection. He is currently a member of Grupo Metal. The musician brings his unmistakable tone and artistry to the track, weaving in soulful electric guitar textures that elevate the song’s cinematic feel.
