DAVE FENLEY SETS GRAND OLE OPRY DEBUT FOR JUNE 27 FOLLOWING EMOTIONAL SURPRISE FROM HIS FATHER
Powerhouse vocalist and respected songwriter DAVE FENLEY received the biggest surprise of his career with a moving invitation from his father to make his long-awaited Grand Ole Opry debut on June 27. During a recent event celebrating his forthcoming third studio album REST OF MY LIFE, due May 8 via Walk Off Entertainment, Fenley's father took the stage to deliver the big news to his son that he would step into the hallowed circle for the first time. The emotional moment brought the room to tears.
“God has blessed me and your mom with you – you're such a great son – and then God blessed you with your talent,” Fenley's father shared, holding back tears. “We're so proud of you and so happy for you.”
Joined by family, friends and industry members, Fenley hosted an intimate gathering at Nashville's The Late Great last week (4/21) to preview tracks from REST OF MY LIFE – his first full-length project in 15 years. Pairing each song with a hand selected whiskey tasting, he performed standout songs including “Learn To Be Lonely,” “One Hell Of A Fire,” “Loves Gonna Get Me Again,” and the title track.
Fenley's unmistakable sound blends soul, country and gospel across the 11-track collection, creating an album that feels both timely and timeless.
“This album has fulfilled a part of me I haven't fully explored before,” Fenley shared. “I'm excited for people to hear me really step into a more soulful side of my voice in a new way. My wife, daughter and family are the heart of this project and I'm grateful to share my love for them through this music.”
