Exclusive: Under The Radar Premieres Maddie Medley’s ‘Good Clean Fun’ Video

A Nashville indie-folk artist, Maddie Medley, premieres her latest visual chapter with the music video for her August-released single, “Good Clean Fun.” Co-directed by Medley and Curtis Wayne Millard, the video is a lush, dreamlike celebration of falling in love—surreal, cinematic, and bursting with a sense of rediscovered wonder.

“I wanted the ‘Good Clean Fun’ video to capture how surreal and fun it can be to fall in love; how it can bring all these beautiful, strange, buried feelings to the surface,” says Medley.

The “Good Clean Fun” video unfolds in a series of scenes, each vignette evoking the heady rush of intimacy and trust. Outfits were sourced from vintage and costume shops across Denver, Kansas City, and Nashville, each piece adding its own texture to the story’s hazy nostalgia. Shot through Millard’s signature dream lens, the film suspends time, allowing each frame to shimmer between memory and fantasy. His approach gives “Good Clean Fun” the feeling of a waking dream, echoing the song’s theme of love as an alternate reality.

A quiet presence named Teardrop appears throughout the video, a figure we’ll come to know more about in Medley’s upcoming work. For now, Teardrop remains an enigmatic thread connecting this era of storytelling.

The “Good Clean Fun” video premiered exclusively via Under The Radar, following the success of Medley’s striking “Fawn’s Rage” video. Co-produced by Medley and Luke Krutzke, with Sean Sullivan engineering, “Good Clean Fun” captures the radiant ease of collaboration between real-life partners. Supporting musicians include Josie Toney (fiddle, formerly of Sierra Ferrell’s band), Luke Shepperd (drums), and Joel Stratton (bass).

Originally from Nashville and now based in Denver, Maddie first broke onto the scene in 2020 with her debut EP Coming of Age, Pt. 1. Now fully independent, Maddie’s recent releases reflect a creative resurgence. Her 2025 self-release “Jesus Moment” marked her first independent release, and she continues to carve a lane all her own—raw, spiritual, literary, and unafraid.
