Keith Burns Celebrates Release of New Single – “They Don’t Live Here” – Out 3/13

Nashville, Tenn. – Keith Burns, founding member of the platinum selling, Grammy-nominated, award winning trio Trick Pony revs up in 2026 with plans to introduce new recordings. The singer, songwriter and guitar gunslinger who has become a viable member of the country music format and Nashville songwriting community will release three new singles in the second quarter of 2026.

The first track, slated to rollout in the Q2 2026 waterfall series titled “They Don’t Live Here,” will drop on Friday, March 13, 2026 with the presale/presave event beginning March 6. Written by Burns and Ray Termini, who also produced the song, the single is Burns’ fifth solo recording. Inspired by the loss of his father, the song unfolds like a quiet conversation with the past, the storyline echoing memories of “the way it was.” Sweet acoustic instrumentation and simplistic production magnify the gentle arrangement, while Burns’ vocals, brushed with a leathered Southern brogue, enunciate the warm, nostalgic sentiment.

Burns blends tender, fond memories with the bittersweet ache of grief — recollections of familiar sounds, comforting smells, family traditions and the lasting impressions of loved ones gone. The song is a touching tribute and expression of gratitude, enduring love and hope for a reunion beyond celestial shores.

“Ray came to the writing session with the idea. Having just lost my dad in October, it came at the right time — sat with me in a big way,” said Burns. “We’ve both experienced the loss of our fathers, who, ironically, share the same name … and ‘Frank’ gets a special mention in the storyline. The song is really about the circle of life. It kind of just wrote itself.”

Further garnering acknowledgement for his talents and formidable 30-year music career, Burns is among the talented recording artists nominated for “Outlaw Gospel Artist of the Year” as recognized by the Inspirational Country Music Association (ICMA). He has also been tapped to co-host the 2026 Inspirational Country Music Awards, where he will perform “They Don’t Live Here.” The annual event will be held April 6, 2026 at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville.

Keeping with the momentum, Burns will release the original tune “Cowboys Don’t Get Old” (featuring a special vocal appearance by Tracy Lawrence) as the second in the waterfall series, followed by his solo rendition of the Trick Pony single “Pour Me” [titled “Pour Me (Single Shot)”], celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the ponies’ 2001 Warner Bros. hit. (Release dates to be announced.)
