Rascal Flatts, who have been on a highly-anticipated reunion tour since the beginning of the year, closed out the historic night with a surprise performance. Although they were not originally on the schedule, hints had been dropped on the Big Machine social media pages earlier in the day, building excitement for their appearance. Taking to the stage, they had the entire crowd singing along to hits like “Life Is a Highway,” “I Like the Sound of That,” and “Fast Cars and Freedom.” They also brought out Carly Pearce to join them for a special rendition of “My Wish.” Gary LeVox was in top form, showing off his signature vocal acrobatics and proving why the band’s return is so highly-anticipated.
The energy the boys brought to the stage was a perfect way to cap off a celebration of one of country music’s most influential labels. Their set was a powerful reminder of their lasting legacy and the joy their music brings to so many people. It was a fitting and unforgettable end to a night that celebrated the past, present, and future of BMG artists.
