The Detroit Cowboy Celebrates One Year in Nashville with Two-Week Anniversary Special
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Detroit Cowboy by Kid Rock and Joe Muer Seafood is turning one year old, and the Capitol View hotspot is celebrating with a gift for guests.
From June 1–14, The Detroit Cowboy will mark its first anniversary by offering guests a complimentary sampling of desserts with any food purchase, along with 20% off all bottles of wine. The celebration leads into the restaurant’s official one-year milestone on June 3, commemorating a bold first year of bringing Motor City flavor, Music City energy and Joe Muer Seafood’s fine dining legacy to Nashville.
Located at 500 11th Ave. N. in Nashville’s Capitol View neighborhood, The Detroit Cowboy opened as a high-octane collaboration between Kid Rock and the Joe Vicari Restaurant Group, blending prime steaks, sustainable seafood, an elevated wine program, craft cocktails and rock ’n’ roll attitude into one unmistakable dining experience. The restaurant’s own positioning says it best: “Music City meets Motor City,” “prime cuts, bold flavors,” and “fine dining amplified.”
“The Detroit Cowboy was built to be more than a restaurant — it was built to be an experience,” said Joe Vicari, owner of The Detroit Cowboy. “One year later, we are incredibly grateful for the way Nashville has embraced us. From guests celebrating milestone dinners to visitors discovering Joe Muer Seafood for the first time, this first year has been about hospitality, quality and creating memories. This anniversary special is our way of saying thank you.”
The current menu continues to showcase the upscale-yet-unpretentious approach that has defined the restaurant since opening. Guests can enjoy standout appetizers including Oysters Rockefeller, Deviled Crab Cake, Burrata & Calabrese Hot Honey, Prime Steak Tartare, Roasted Bone Marrow and Chargrilled Tenderloin Tips & Portabella Mushrooms. The raw bar features oyster varieties, Colossal Shrimp Cocktail, Bigeye Tuna Tartare and a Grand Seafood Tower with Gulf oysters, shrimp, lobster tail, king crab and smoked trout dip.
The Detroit Cowboy has also continued expanding the guest experience with lunch, Golden Hour and a seasonal patio menu. Lunch is served Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with selections including Detroit Style Cheesesteak, Lobster & Shrimp Roll, Born Free Burger and Steak Frites.
The Detroit Cowboy’s atmosphere remains one of its defining signatures — part white-tablecloth steakhouse, part rock ’n’ roll museum, part Nashville night out. Designed around personal artifacts, music memorabilia, bold interiors and nods to both Detroit and Nashville culture, the restaurant has become a destination for locals, visitors, music fans, fine dining guests and private event clients alike.
The Detroit Cowboy’s one-year anniversary special runs June 1–14. Guests will receive a complimentary sampling of desserts with any food purchase, and all bottles of wine will be 20% off during the celebration.
