Chrissy Nix Launches The Interlude – A Creative Artist Development Company

A New Artist-First Creative Company Rooted In Storytelling, Strategy & Artist Development

NASHVILLE, Tenn., (May 26, 2026) – Artist advocate and creative director Chrissy Nix has officially launched The Interlude, a creative artist development company. The Interlude is dedicated to helping independent artists bridge the gap between emerging artistry and mainstream breakthrough.

With experience across branding, photography, touring, content strategy, artist development, and beauty, Nix first built her career through behind-the-scenes work with artists including Kelsea Ballerini, Britt Nicole, Caitlyn Smith, Priscilla Block, and Emily West. Today, The Interlude manages and creatively directs artists including Remy Garrison, JB Somers, and Amy Peters, helping shape creative identity, branding, songwriting development, and long-term career strategy.

“The Interlude exists because artists deserve teams that care about who they are just as much as what they create,” said Nix. “So much of this industry pushes artists to move faster, be louder, and fit into boxes. I wanted to build something that creates space for artists to actually develop — creatively, emotionally, and sustainably.”

To celebrate, The Interlude will host an official launch party on Thursday, June 4 from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Hit Parader Nashville. Located between Nashville’s famed Printers Alley and Lower Broadway, the newly opened venue will see performances from each act on The Interlude‘s roster, along with some surprise guests.

Artists in The Interlude’s ecosystem embody cross-genre box-breaking creativity. Country-R&B artist Remy Garrison has built a growing reputation for her genre-fluid songwriting and live presence. Garrison cut her teeth on Nashville’s Lower Broadway at venues like Tootsies Orchid Lounge and Rippy’s Honky Tonk, breaking through with her debut EP Southern Luxury. In 2024, Garrison made her country radio debut with “Get It Girl” and earned a featured spot on SiriusXM’s On The Horizon with “Delusional.” She continued her momentum with the release of her 2025 EP S.H.H., a bold, emotionally honest project showcasing her inability to fit into the box. In 2025, Garrison was named an “Artist to Watch” by LADYGUNN and Sweety High. So far in 2026, Garrison has earned a Women of Country nomination for “Woman to Watch in 2026,“ was selected for the prestigious 2026 ASCAP GPS Class, carries 130,000 monthly Spotify listeners and has surpassed 3 million global career streams, cementing her status as one of country music’s most promising emerging voices.

JB Somers is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter blending soulful pop tendencies with confessional country lyricism and fearless vulnerability. A pastor’s kid from Alabama, Somers first found his voice singing in church before reaching a national audience on Season 23 of NBC’s “The Voice” as part of Kelly Clarkson’s team, where Clarkson praised his “incredible” tone. In 2025, Somers released his EP Love, Myself, a pivotal project chronicling his journey toward authenticity, healing, and self-trust. He carried that momentum into 2026 with “Real Man,” a vulnerable anthem challenging traditional ideas of masculinity and emotional expression.

Amy Peters is an independent artist, producer, and songwriter known for blending emotionally charged songwriting with cinematic pop production all while carving her own path as a self-produced creative. Since the release of her debut LP Fever Dream in 2020, Peters has amassed more than 15 million global streams, with placements on Spotify editorial playlists including New Music Friday, Fresh Finds, Powerwalk!, and Pop Right Now. Her upcoming album Bad Posture is set for release in summer 2026, with the lead single “Soft” available now.

Rooted in artist advocacy, emotional intelligence, and intentional creative direction, The Interlude exists to help artists build careers that are not only successful, but sustainable.
