NASHVILLE, TN — May 5, 2026 — Respected industry veteran Donna Hughes is launching her own independent, artist-focused company, Hughes Media. Backed by more than 35 years of experience and deep-rooted relationships across the country music landscape, Hughes is bringing her expertise to a venture designed to elevate artist storytelling and foster stronger, more meaningful connections with fans.
“With Hughes Media, my goal is to champion artists by helping them convey their authenticity, equipping them to make the most of every consumer-facing, media-driven opportunity…using those moments to build deep, genuine connections,” Hughes shares. “The love, respect, passion and gratitude I have for this music and industry is at the heart of everything I do, and I’m ready to build something that supports both the artist and the broader country music community.”
Hughes Media offers a full suite of services tailored to today’s evolving music landscape, including artist interview content creation and distribution to key country music tastemakers, satellite radio tours, and strategic collaboration with managers and promoters on tour marketing initiatives. Additional services include media training at all levels, radio programming creation and production, and the booking, production, and advancement of media days in partnership with management, publicity teams, and record labels.
Prior to launching Hughes Media, Hughes served as VP of Touring and Communications at Borman Entertainment. She previously held the role of National Director of Radio Marketing at UMG Nashville and Capitol/EMI Records Nashville, where she played a key role in developing marketing campaigns and expanding the reach of artists including Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, Darius Rucker, Carrie Underwood, Sam Hunt, Jordan Davis, Chris Stapleton, Eric Church, Reba McEntire, Alan Jackson, Brothers Osborne, Parker McCollum, Little Big Town, Dierks Bentley and Jon Pardi, among many others. The latter role earned Hughes the CRS/Country Aircheck Award for Director/National Promotion of the Year.
Hughes has also been the recipient of the prestigious CMA Media Achievement Award in recognition of her impressive media career, which includes serving as Executive Producer of the nationally syndicated radio program GAC Nights: Live From Nashville, Senior Producer for Premiere Radio Networks, morning show talent on Nashville’s Rockin’ Country 102.9, and Talent Coordinator for TNN’s Crook & Chase and Music City Tonight.
