30A Life Records’ Bradley Gaskin Brings
‘Alabama Rain’
To All Streaming Platforms TODAY
Earns Placement on Spotify’s All New Country Playlist
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – With his current radio single, “Bout Damn Did,” climbing the charts, Bradley Gaskin is bringing more of his brand of honky-tonk to country music enthusiasts everywhere. Gaskin, who co-wrote his new single, “Alabama Rain,” releases the track today across all streaming platforms following last year’s debut of his Keith Stegall-produced album Unfinished Business via 30A Life Records. Check out “Alabama Rain” HERE.
“We want to celebrate the success of ‘Bout Damn Did’ by bringing more traditional music to our fans, so we’ll be releasing new songs throughout the year for download and streaming,” explains Gaskin, who has hit nearly 17M TikTok views.
A timeless, jukebox‐ready two-stepper, “Alabama Rain” pushes beyond the swing to pull at your heartstrings with its warm fiddle, crying steel and raw, honest vocal. Gaskin leans into his Alabama roots to tell the story of a man drowning in memory, who tries to put on a brave face and outdrink the pain but gets washed out every time.
Chorus
It’s coming down like a nine-pound hammer,
Like a Georgia pine in a hurricane;
Ain’t a damn thing I can do (oh) to stop it,
‘Cause it’s coming down on me, like Alabama rain
(Written by Bradley Gaskin, Robert Keith Stegall, Michael White)
“The song is about an ol’ boy who ain’t past the goodbye of her leaving him,” Gaskin says. “He knows he ain’t getting over her anytime soon and leaning on the bottle just brings on storms of emotion, and the pain and sadness sets in like bad weather.” Gaskin explains that the musicians for “Alabama Rain” were specifically chosen by producer Keith Stegall, “so it’s got that late ’80s, early ’90s feel to it, and I’m all about it … It’s my kind of country music.”
Bradley Gaskin paid a visit to Coffee Country & Cody on WSM AM 650 yesterday (Thursday, May 21) where “Alabama Rain” debuted on the morning show and he delivered a live performance of “Bout Damn Did”
