Landon Smith Returns With New Single “Supertramp”
For Immediate Release:
May 22, 2026
Nashville, Tenn. – Today, rising singer, songwriter, and guitarist Landon Smith released his new single, “Supertramp,” via Lucille Records / MCA. Following the emotional depth of his recent release “Lavender” and his acclaimed 2025 debut EP Reckon So, “Supertramp” captures Smith at his most uninhibited yet—leaning further into the restless energy, sharp songwriting, and rock-driven spirit that continue to define his fast-rising career. Listen to “Supertramp” HERE.
Written by Smith alongside collaborators Jacob Fuls, Josh Fuls, and Kingston Lord and produced by GRAMMY® Award-winner Dave Cobb, “Supertramp” is fueled by gritty guitars, anthemic hooks, and Smith’s unmistakably raw vocal delivery. The track balances youthful recklessness with introspective storytelling, cementing his ability to bridge modern Americana, country storytelling, and rock ‘n’ roll swagger.
“‘Supertramp’ feels like the most honest representation of where I’m at right now sonically,” says Smith. “It’s loud, restless, emotional, and a little reckless in all the best ways. I’ve always loved music that feels like it’s barely holding itself together emotionally, and this song really lives in that space. It’s about chasing something you can’t quite hold onto while still trying to figure yourself out along the way.”
Smith first gained traction while gigging locally during college, when his breakout single “If You Want Me Tonight” went viral, ultimately surpassing 14 million streams on Spotify. That momentum carried into fan favorites like “July 6th” and “Taking Off to Tennessee,” establishing him as one of Nashville’s most compelling emerging voices.
In 2025, Smith hit the road and delivered standout performances at GATAJAM Festival in Statesboro, GA—opening for Riley Green, Ella Langley, and more—as well as CMA Fest in Nashville as part of MCA’s Sounds Like Nashville Live at the Fifth + Broadway Skydeck. He has also shared stages with Tyler Halverson, Uncle Lucius, Gavin Adcock, Whiskey Myers, 49 Winchester, and Kashus Culpepper, continuing to build a reputation as a powerful live performer with a rapidly growing fanbase.
With “Supertramp,” Smith continues expanding the sonic world introduced on Reckon So and “Lavender,” embracing a bigger, more volatile sound without sacrificing the deeply personal songwriting at the core of his artistry. The release marks another glimpse into a steady stream of new music arriving throughout 2026.

About Landon Smith:
No matter how old you are or where you’re from, Landon Smith might just have a song for you. Landon delivers his stories with the raw grit, hard-earned experience, and the wise-beyond-his-years perspective of an old school troubadour, pulling no punches as he strums his guitar and sings as loudly as possible.
At the same time, he connects with the coming-of-age generation through his lyrics of sleep deprived teenage hangouts, bleary-eyed college nights, and visions of what genuine connection looks like. The 22-year-old Nashville-based singer, songwriter, and guitarist serves up post-Millennial Americana spiked with dyed-in-the-wool country storytelling and surges of rock ‘n’ roll energy. Growing up forty-five minutes south of Atlanta in McDonough, GA, he played in bands throughout middle school and high school, and he gained his first recording experience on an iPad with Garage Band. Simultaneously, he obsessed over a myriad of favorite artists, listening to everyone from Mumford & Sons, The Lumineers, and Rainbow Kitten Surprise to Deftones and Jason Isbell. During college, he gigged locally solo. Around the same time his first single “If You Want Me Tonight” reeled in north of 14 million Spotify streams, paving the way for “July 6th” and “Taking Off to Tennessee.” Between performing shows with Tyler Halverson and Uncle Lucius, he supported Gavin Adcock, Whiskey Myers, 49 Winchester and Kashus Culpepper on tour. Stacking up tens of millions of streams independently and attracting the likes of GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Dave Cobb [Brandi Carlile, Chris Stapleton] to his corner he strikes a deep chord on his 2025 debut EP Reckon So for Lucille Records, Cobb’s imprint under MCA. Now, with “Lavender,” Smith sharpens his signature blend of Americana, country storytelling, and rock-leaning intensity, offering a more vulnerable and introspective side of his artistry. The release sets the tone for a steady stream of new music arriving throughout 2026.
